Whitney Anderson, Co-founder and CEO of The Dragonfly Home, is a nationally recognized subject matter expert in human trafficking with a specialization in addressing its impact within Indian Country. Her journey into this critical field began during her MBA studies in international business, where she uncovered the widespread crisis of modern-day slavery. In 2012, Whitney's volunteer work with survivors abroad deepened her understanding of the resilience and unique needs of victim-survivors, inspiring her to transition from corporate America to establishing specialized, trauma-informed care services in Oklahoma.
As a pioneer of specialized human trafficking victim services intervention, Whitney has received numerous accolades for her efforts. She was named her tribe's 2024 Dynamic Woman of the Year, honored with the Oklahoma Human Trafficking Task Force 2021 Award for Outstanding Contribution, and recognized as one of The Journal Record's Fifty Making a Difference in 2019. Whitney also Co Chairs the Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General Victim Services Unit Advisory Board further underscoring her leadership in addressing trafficking across the state.
Beyond her professional achievements, Whitney is deeply committed to her family. She and her husband find joy in the adventurous spirit of their toddler daughter, embracing the balance of advocacy and parenthood.
