Owner and CEO of OKC Spark Softball
Dr. Tina Floyd is the founder and Executive Director of the Oklahoma City Spark professional softball team. Originally from Tuttle, Dr. Floyd has been an entrepreneur and business owner for most of her life, in addition to her 20 years of education experience as a teacher, principal, and Norman School Board President. She received her Bachelor's of Elementary Education and first Master's of Higher Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, then received a second Master's of Adult and Higher Education from the University of Oklahoma. Most recently, Floyd earned her Doctorate of Education from Southern Nazarene University. As a long time supporter of OU Softball, Floyd saw a need for more opportunities for women to play professional sports after completing their collegiate careers. Her vision came to life in 2022 when the Oklahoma City Spark was founded, and their success began during their inaugural season in 2023. Under her leadership, Floyd facilitated the Spark's monumental expansion into the AUSL, a professional softball league supported by the MLB and televised on ESPN, which brought the Spark into the national spotlight. When she's not t the office, Floyd enjoys spending time with her two children, Allyson and Jeffrey Shaw. Her daughter Allyson is currently serving in the Oklahoma Army National Guard and working for the Oklahoma City Spark while obtaining her bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma. Her son Jeffrey is finishing his degree at OU while working on campus, as well. Dr. Tina Floyd is deeply dedicated to expanding opportunities for women to achieve their goals. Her leadership continues to open doors for the next generation of women to compete, lead, and excel at the highest levels.
