Lyn Jackson

Lyn Jackson is an accomplished professional serving as the Chief Operating Officer at OKCMA.  With a robust background in community outreach, criminal justice, leadership, and advocacy, she has held pivotal roles including an officer for Department of Corrections & Carver Center, directorship at Raising the Standard Transitional Housing program, a short-term directorship at Women’s Firstep program and previously served as the Community Outreach Manager & Grant Administrator for the Ok County Criminal Justice Advisory Council.

Currently, Lyn is an active member on the Board of Directors for Ok County Justice Circle and Board of Directors for Live Free Okc also contributing her expertise to the Ok County CAB/OCDC Leadership Board.  Her contributions as a GIANT Consultant providing professional development and cultural workshops for Executive Leadership within organizations and ministries highlight her commitment to organizational growth and advancement.

Acknowledged for her exceptional leadership, Lyn has been honored with the 2023 Clapham Award from S.A.L.L.T for her work with Ok County Justice Circle and the 2020 Community Leadership Award from Church Women United Inc. Her dedication to justice reform is evident through her membership in the Oklahoma Justice Reform Coalition and her prior roles as Policy & Procedure Committee Chair for Urban League of Greater OKC Young Professionals. A holder of degrees in Business, Psychology, & Mastery Cert in Business Development. Lyn graduated from Salt and Light Leadership Training (S13) and has obtained her Non-profit Management Certification. 

Beyond her professional endeavors, Lyn is a devoted mother to seven children, blending her biological and adopted children into a loving family. She prioritizes her faith, striving to spread love and serve her community, particularly those affected by the Criminal Justice system and individuals battling substance abuse. Known as an encourager, motivator, truth-teller and servant-leader, Lyn selflessly endeavors to enhance the welfare of others without expecting anything in return.

Lyn is recognized as a disruptor in advocating for equal justice, challenging systems and policies that impede community rights. In her leisure time, she cherishes moments with her children, indulges in singing Karaoke, and finds solace in gardening, nurturing her passion for family and personal interests.  Lyn’s catchphrase is “ If everything leaves my life, there are two things that will remain, God & joy.”
